About the Artist
Neimy Kanani is a vegan artist based in Portugal, known for crafting whimsical nightmares that blur the line between beauty and the eerie. Her dreamlike work draws inspiration from Rococo art, antique dolls, fairytales, and the surreal charm of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Each piece invites viewers into a soft unsettling world, one where sweetness and shadow coexist.
From a young age, Neimy found it difficult to express herself through words. Instead, she turned to art as a way to communicate the emotions and stories she couldn’t speak aloud. Through delicate linework, pastel palettes, and nostalgic themes, her illustrations serve as a quiet bridge between her inner world and those who enter it.
Neimy hopes her art offers a sense of escapism and connection, creating space for others to find beauty in the strange, and comfort in the imaginary.
